In India 24% kids go without food every day. Statistics have revealed that nearly 30 percent of Indian families have been forced to cut back on food due to rising food prices. There is an urgent need for a national initiative to eradicate hunger in children. So as a part of our Share A Smile project we aim to help these families. Our first step towards this initiative was sponsoring Breakfast- the Most Important Meal of A day ' for 3 months for 60 children at Child Reach School, Mumbai. We aim at doing such activities often.
As per Population Census of India 2011, female literacy rate in India is 65.46%. We aspire to get the percentage to a 100% and our contribution had already begun. Beyond Smiles Foundation believes that education is the strongest medium to empower a person and with our project Shiksha we aim to help the girl child to become economically independent. Beyond Smiles Foundation has already started that by educating a girl from Goa . The project includes mentoring the child, providing individual attention, counseling and grooming.
Beyond Smiles Foundation strives to reach out to over 1 million a children and adults over a span of five years by adding more to their lives and enriching it at every step.
